Bankrolled

Bankrolled exists to hold candidates accountable. It shows, for every U.S. Senate and House race on the 2026 Midterms ballot, where each candidate's money comes from and what their public record shows: campaign donors, PACs, super PAC spending for and against them, dark money behind those groups, roll-call votes, sponsored bills, stock trades, gifts and sponsored travel, lobbying ties, and past races.

Where the data comes from

All candidate data is drawn from Poliscope, a political transparency platform that cross-links public records from the FEC, Congress.gov, Senate and House lobbying disclosures, SEC EDGAR, USAspending, OGE financial disclosures, and congressional gift and travel filings. Race rosters are seeded from FEC candidate registrations and curated by hand so that only the general-election field appears.

Every section links to the corresponding Poliscope page or original filing. When we say a candidate “took money” from a group, the amount and the filing it came from are shown.

Hot buttons

The flags on the home page are rules, not opinions. Each names the committees, people, or record types it checks, and each match shows the underlying amount. See the full list and the methodology.

Independence

Bankrolled has no affiliation with any campaign, party, PAC, or advocacy group, and takes no position on any race. Data is refreshed nightly.

Corrections

Entity matching across government databases is probabilistic, and filings contain errors. If something looks wrong, check the linked source filing first; if the site misrepresents it, open an issue on the project repository.
